This might be a lazy questions but how do you acquire BONUS points through Active Rain?
I know that's not what AR is all about but I've noticed some people with incredible Bonus points yet I have no idea how it works. Your advise and suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!
There are lots of ways to get bonus points. Contest entries, catching the attention of the power that be in activerain. ie something that they find particularly witty or funny.
By the way, I love your comic strip...will work for bonus points. That is exactly the kind of thing that will get you free points if it catches their attention.
Jose, I am not sure so let me be the first to answer (just kidding) maybe they have to do with winning a contest or doing a service that is above and beyond. cheryl
Contests and nice deeds are a start. Remember though that AR is more about the consumers that find you than the points you accrue.

Actually I do not know, although I have bonus points but not sure how I gots them.

Jose, I think you got it. Except the third guy should be standing up to get a little more attention from the other two sitting down. Make it look like he's trying make a little more of an effort. You know what I mean, Believe or not the points will start pouring in like a tropical rain storm, then you'll up to your eye balls swimming in points, But the points are going to be so wet that they will not tally up. I dont know how to get bonus points but I imagine a cartoon like yours would be a good way. I acutally did get some once but only because an AR glitch stole a bunch of mine.

I think the first thing you need to know is if you don't write a blog with at least 50 words you won't even get your initial 200 points just for writing the blog post. So you better add a few words to this blog:) Just kidding.
If it's featured you'll get another 250 or so and as the others mentioned ...there are other ways...links...contests...contributions to AR...etc..they used to give you points for photos but they stopped that. You can invite someone to join and get 10% of theirs if they put things in their profile..add a neighborhood...comment on other peoples blogs max a day is 10 times but you can comment as much as you want......etc...I hope this helps.
Oh and if someone reblogs your post...you'll get an extra 25 points.

I've gotten bonus points by entering and/or winning an AR contest. I actually just figured this out a short time ago myself!
Bribery works well, too!!! Begging also works but is demeaning.
Thank you for all your posts. I know that I have helped a few folks along the way, paying it forward, but I,too, am curious about bonus points. I've been here 4 years now and I'm stumped. Maybe bribery and begging will work...I'll give it a try..LOL
